Where Blue Meets Blue

©1998 Andrew Calhoun, recorded on Where Blue Meets Blue

For AC2

I lost my favorite cousin for 23 years due to a family rift. Was amazed to find the girl I watched waterbugs and went to find frogs with is now a wetlands ecologist, working with frogs, in Maine.

Where blue meets blue
You find the gate
That dreams pass through
And still they wait
Where it is true
That worlds revolve
Through time and space
That wars resolve

Where blue meets blue
You find the place
Where I and you
Have gone to waste
All drifting, woven in the air
A sacrosanct, forgotten prayer

And there it waits
Long cast aside
From lying hates
And jealous pride
Our prayer returns
Unbroken through
The open gate
Where blue meets blue
